據世界天然氣網站8月4日消息：美國第二大鋼鐵生產商紐柯公司的UIG部門已經宣布計劃建立和運行一個新的空分工廠和液化器，為其位于肯塔基州勃蘭登堡鋼鐵廠提供氧氣，氮氣和氬氣。

該工廠還將向紐柯公司和該地區的其他批發伙伴提供液化工業氣體。

Nucor to build oxygen plant and liquefier for new plate mill in Kentucky

Nurcor Corporation’s UIG division has announced plans to build and operate a new air separation plant and liquefier to supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon to its new state of the art steel mill in Brandenburg, Kentucky.

The plant will also supply liquefied industrial gases to Nucor and other wholesale partners in the area.

Capable of producing 1.2 million tonnes of steel products per year, the new steel mill and the air separation facility marks a significant investment for Nucor.

The plate mill and air separation facility are expected to be operational in late 2022.
